Thousands call for ouster of Philippines' Estrada in overnight protest

Thousands of Filipino demonstrators rallied outside Manila's presidential palace overnight to demand President Joseph Estrada's resignation before his impeachment trial begins next week.
About 20,000 protestors danced and sang as band after band performed songs mocking the former movie actor. The crowd of protestors had dwindled to a few thousand by early Thursday, but was expected to grow again later in the day.
